Born in Fresno, California May 31, 1964 and raised in San Jose, California Jerry was brought up in a musical family. He began his musical journey at the age of ten as a vocalist for local bands in east San Jose. At thirteen his life took a drastic change as he and his family moved to Harlingen, Texas. While in Texas, Jerry attended Harlingen High School and served in their vocal choir program for three years. After graduating from High School he knew that music was what he wanted to do in his life. In his pursuit of becoming a music teacher, he returned to San Jose with that goal in mind. In 1989 at the age of twenty - five Mr Sauceda graduated from Evergreen Valley College with an A.A. degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on music theory. Due to music programs in schools being cut during this time, Jerry's focus changed. He decided to create his own stage show as a music entertainer. He quickly excelled in developing his musical skills, repertoire and reputation as an exciting local artist in San Jose and the bay area.
Since then, Jerry and his trio have opened and shared the stage with many popular artists including Malo, Tierra, Clifford Coulter, The Drifters and Sam Butera saxophonist for Louie Prima. He has also has worked with such performers as Tony Lindsey of the Carlos Santana Band and Danny Hull from The Doobie Brothers. In addition to performing at hundreds of venues in the bay area over the years, Jerry had the honor and the privilege to play at the HP Pavillion in San Jose in front of 16,000 San Jose Stealth fans in 2004.
Additionally, he has also written music scores for documentaries including "Soldados " which was aired nationally on PBS in 2006. Jerry carries a mature collection of music as diverse as his talent. Aside from his own show, Jerry also focuses a substantial amount of time to other artists in his own music production studio and home based company, Systema Entertainment. Known for his riveting live performances and recording compositions Jerry Sauceda consistently maintains his status as a successful artist on the rise. Still, after 20 years in the music business his primary focus
continues to be his integrity as a professional artist. His motivation is growth and experimentation. Jerry's relentless energy and creative pursuits have helped others redefine the meaning of professional musicianship.
